Like a lot of artists, I have been involved in art beginning at a very early age. I had the advantage of being raised in a home in which both parents were artists. My mother was an accomplished oil painter and my father was an oil painter, sculptor and master jeweler. Both were very encouraging as well as eager to pass on their valuable knowledge.
Throughout my life, creating art with a pencil continues to be a definite passion of mine and has always emerged in the forefront of the mediums that I have worked with. I enjoy experimenting with other media, including colored pencil, oil and acrylics. I love drawing portraits, still life, wildlife, the occasional commission, and just about anything that looks good in graphite!
As with the beauty you can find in some black and white photographs, beauty can also be expressed quite well using graphite and charcoal alone.
